The Parliamentary committee on Public service and local government has ordered Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) to review the contract it signed with pioneer easy bus company, pushing ahead the March 1st , 2012 planned bus operations.
According to the committee chaired by Florence Kintu, the agreements signed by the two parties are full of mistakes which will negatively affect the operations of the bus company, KCCA and offer substandard services to the public.
Committee vice chairperson Raphael Magezi says the time given to the bus company to start operations is too short for KCCA to construct parks, gazette routes , sensitize the public in addition to lack of instruments to show that KCCA signed resolutions in regard to pioneer bus operations.
