Uganda Ranks Fifth At IT Berlin Tourism Fair

Uganda was ranked the fifth best African exhibitor at IT Berlin Tourism fair.

The exhibition involved 10 African countries where Uganda emerged the fifth with Burundi and Rwanda among the top ten.

Represented by Uganda Wildlife Authority, Uganda showcased artwork of the rare mountain gorillas, Uganda Waragi gin, artifacts, and images of games and a full time running video playing a documentary of the Ugandan tourism story.

The chief executive officer, Uganda Tourism Board, Stephen Asiimwe said Uganda has to improve on a few things and we will do better.

“Uganda will prosper in tourism, we just need to tweak a few things,” Asiimwe said.

The East African Community (EAC) deputy secretary general, Jessica Eriyo also condemned the single visa initiative which was launched in Berlin saying it is time Uganda cashed in on her regional stabilizing roles.
