The Airtel rising star finals will take place this weekend at Boma, Buhinga and St Leo’s Kyegobe grounds in Fort portal.
The draws for the participating teams took place at FUFA House in Mengo last week where the reigning U-17 girls champions – Western were pooled in group A alongside West Nile, Buganda and Kampala.
In group B, Kitara, Eastern, Northern and North East will battle it out for the title.
Boys Category:
Hosts Kitara were drawn against North East , West Nile and Northern in group A.
Defending champions Kampala, Buganda, Eastern and Western regions are in group B, This has been regarded by some media as the group of death that will showcase thrilling matches for football fans.
The finals will be held on the 30th June 2014 at Buhinga Stadium. Airtel Uganda will then select the excelling 18 boys and girls to represent the nation at the Africa finals in Gabon slated for August 2014.
