President Museveni has appointed High Court judge Jane Frances Abodo as the new Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The DPP job has been vacant for the last five months after the former boss Justice Mike Chibita was appointed to the Supreme Court bench.
Justice Jane Francis Abodo had been a High Court since 2018.
As a High Court judge,she boasted of the highest number of convictions which include that of former Goodlyfe singer Moze Radio, and was recognized as the Best Prosecutor by the Uganda Law Society in 2015.
According to reports from The Office of the Clerk to Parliament,the new DPP will soon have an interaction with Parliaments appointments committee which is scheduled to be on April 6,2020 in the morning.
