The 22-year-old Quinn Abenakyo has been announced as the winner of the Miss Uganda 2018 beauty pageant at Sheraton Hotel Kampala after emerging the fairest of all the other 22 contestants.
The new beauty queen comes from Mayuge District, Busoga region and she took over from Miss Uganda 2016 Leah Kagasa who served for two years with grace and style. Quinn is a student at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Computing.
Quinn Abenakyo had been billed as the favorite right from the onset and she seemed to ride very well on that as an advantage against her fellow contestants during the ‘question-and-answer’ session, responding to her questions easily before the judges of the night. This is where a one fan refereed to her as the beauty with brains.

Abenakyo was followed by the former Miss Teens, Tyra Margach who was chosen as the 1st Runners up and Aheebwa Patience as the 2nd Runner Up as well as miss West. Sandra Khan and Nanziri Elizabeth were the other two of the top five finalists at the Miss Uganda 2018-2019 beauty contest.
