The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has today concluded his maiden visit to Mityana Diocese for his three days official Pastoral Visit.
The bishop arrived in Mityana on 10th Novemmber 2023 and he was welcomed in Zigoti town along Mityana Road by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Dr. James Bukomeko and Mama Rose Bukomeko, Bishop Emeritus George Ssinabulya of Central Buganda Diocese, Clergy and jubilant Christians.
Before his installation as the 9th Archbishop of the Church of Uganda on 1st March 2020, Archbishop Kaziimba was the Bishop of Mityana Diocese where he served since 26th October 2008.
His Grace Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, the esteemed Archbishop of the Church of Uganda and former Bishop of Mityana Diocese, concluded a profound three-day pastoral visit within the Diocese of Mityana.
The culminating church service, held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, marked a significant return to his former episcopal grounds.
In a compelling sermon, Archbishop Kaziimba passionately advocated for peace, emphasizing its paramount importance.
This visit not only showcased the Archbishop’s commitment to spiritual leadership but also underscored the significance of unity and tranquillity within the church and the broader community.
